Bakso Ikan Teochew Puri offers an inviting dive into the delicate and comforting world of Teochew-style bakso, right in the heart of West Jakarta’s bustling Pasar Puri Indah market. Specializing in fresh fish ball soup paired with traditional mie pok noodles, this restaurant has quickly earned a reputation among locals for its authentic flavors and cozy atmosphere.
From the moment you enter the spacious and clean dining area, cooled by efficient air conditioning, you can sense the professional care infused into every aspect of Bakso Ikan Teochew Puri. The environment strikes a perfect balance between lively market energy and a neat, comfortable spot where you can enjoy your meal without the chaos often found in similar venues.
The culinary highlight here is undoubtedly the bakso ikan (fish balls), which customers describe as delightfully chewy and springy—every bite bursting with fresh seafood essence. These fish balls harmonize beautifully with the mie pok, noodles that boast a pleasingly firm texture and clean, subtly savory taste. A bowl of their clear and light broth soothes the palate with fresh, mild flavors, offering a delightful canvas that both seafood lovers and milder flavor seekers will appreciate.
Many diners rave about the chili sauce that accompanies the dish, describing it as a deliciously sweet yet spicy complement that allows you to tailor each bite to your liking. Adding a splash of calamansi juice has been celebrated as a secret-touch elevating the soup’s brightness and freshness, enhancing the overall experience.
Not only is the food the star of the show, but the service also impresses with its quick and attentive nature, ensuring your meal arrives fresh and warm even during peak hours. Despite its popularity—often bustling with guests—the wait times remain short, allowing you to relish your bowl without long interruptions.
Bakso Ikan Teochew Puri shines especially on rainy days, when a piping hot bowl of fish ball noodle soup becomes the ultimate comfort food that warms your stomach and heart alike. It holds its own even when compared to famed establishments such as the Lixin in Singapore, offering a compelling local alternative for those craving authentic Teochew flavors.
With affordability, cleanliness, genuine flavors, and a thoughtfully curated menu, Bakso Ikan Teochew Puri is a must-visit spot for anyone exploring Jakarta’s culinary gems. Whether you're a fan of chewy fish balls, flavorful yet light broths, or the subtle harmony between noodles and fresh chili oil, this restaurant delivers a satisfying and memorable dining experience.

During rainy day in Saturday afternoon The best choice for warming the stomach. Their chili is delicious... Order two complete portions for dining and another two for the daughters... We went to HQ in Gading Serpong before, you can compare with the famous Lixin in Singapore...

One of the best mie lebar in Jakarta. Love the chili oil and the fish meatball, what a great combination. The place is small but it's cozy, clean, and run professionally. There's also AC. And the price is affordable too! Kudos to the owner

Undeniable good fish ball and mau tofu with clear and clean soup. Add splash of calamansi juice into the soup and dip the balls into chilli sauce definitely elevate the taste.

Tried Bakso Ikan Teochew Puri, and overall it was a pleasant experience! The service is fast, and everything comes out fresh and warm. The fishballs are chewy and bouncy, texture lovers will enjoy this. But in terms of flavor, it’s more on the mild side.. not quite like mee pok or strong broth style dishes. So if you're looking for something bold or spicy, this might feel a bit light. That said, for the price point, it’s definitely affordable and filling

Best mee pok around Puri area. The chilli is on the sweet side, spicy lover might need to take more of it. Fishball are fresh and delicious.
